Ayurveda is a 5000 year old holistic practice of medicine born from the Vedas of India at the time. The cool thing about this is that it is still the predominant medicine practiced in India today and they've had 5000 years to perfect it! By contrast, modern Western medicine has only been on the scene for a mere 300 years give or take a hundred years. So you can see that it's just a baby compared to the Mother of medicine Ayurveda.
